Diana Kienle, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW)
I love wine!
I enjoy learning about it, buying it, and drinking it! I especially enjoy learning from others and sharing what I’ve learned. I’m fascinated by the intersection of science and art that winemaking is an expression of. I’ve studied wine since 2009, formally and independently, taking classes from some of the best teachers: Karen MacNeil (author of The Wine Bible), Tim Gaiser (Master Sommelier), and John Buchenstein (winemaker and professor at UC Davis). I have spent time in many classes at the Napa Valley Wine Academy with teachers such as Peter Marks, Master of Wine.
Along the way, I started this blog to share information with you, to expand your pleasure and knowledge of wine, and to learn from your experience as well. Through this blog, I’ll share tips for enjoying wine, information about great buys, great places to taste, and other information to increase your appreciation and knowledge of all things wine.
One of the most important things I have learned is that the more you know, the more there is to learn. It is a long journey yet worth the investment. The path is a fun one!
Enjoy!
Diana
